Cover - Molecular Biology of the Cell

The Molecular Biology textbook is an excercise in taking something ordinary and expanding on it with a combination of rigid and experimental design. The book contains a strong use of typography and layout design with an interesting color palette, along with experimental page design incorporating transparent pages



Experimental Page Design

Each section of the cell is printed on its own transparent page along with a description of that section. The transparencies allow the student to "disect" the parts of the cell and look at each structure in more detail. Each description was mirror printed to allow the text to be read when the transparency was opened. When put together, the transparencies look like a whole cell, with a description about the cell in general.
